This episode largely centered around Sid. Now, Sid is inherently a depressing character. Everything about smacks of misery. Unfortunately this misery was compounded by an insight into his awful family, and then finding his dad dead in the armchair. There was some light relief, with Anwar and Sketch being caught using Sid’s bed by his mum, but all in all , this was really depressing episode.

Monday saw the return of popular E4 drama, Skins.Tony is still suffering from the effects of being run over at the end of the last series. He’s a bit slow mentally, he can’t write, can’t goto the toilet on his own, gets flashbacks when he sees a bus and is suffering from odd eyebrows. Sid and Michelle are nowhere to be seen - apparently unable to cope with what he has become - and only Maxie seems to really be keeping an interest in looking out for Tony.
Maxie’s story is starting a resemble a cross between Beautiful Thing and Billy Elliot. Gay guy trapped on a council estate, with a (not quite convincing) hardman dad played by Bill Bailey who doesn’t want him to go off to become a dancer.
