Following the Judge’s decision on her divorce settlement, Heather Mills came out and gave this rambling performance. As has been noted elsewhere, she has complained about the press for as long as I can remember and then came out to hold court as if they were her closest friends. She ended up getting about £23million. She says that Sir Paul offered very much less, implying he lost out, but the summary shows he offered £16million and she wanted £125million, which shows it was very much closer to his figure than hers.
Anyway, I’m not much interested in either of them and I hope she goes away (but I doubt she will). In case you didn’t see her rather embarrasing performance, here it is in its entirety…

The media were invited to Pinewood studios today where the title of the next Bond film has been announced - “Quantum of Solace”. The ITV lunchtime news had a report which included some sneak previews from the forthcoming film…
What do you think of the title? It doesn’t exactly roll of the tongue but I’m sure we’ll get used to it!

Well, that was an unexpected tea time treat - an exclusive live interview with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on tonight’s ITV News. Midway through the bulletin, we crossed live to Tehran where a nervous looking Julian Mannion gave the President a soft going over, but even that seemed to get the President’s wick, who demanded to know his inquisitor’s personal opinion, questioned if he was a journalist or a politician and ended by dismissing it for not being an interview. It as edge of the seat viewing and I suspect Mannion was making a hasty exit soon after.
