Johnny Rotten (John Lydon) Advertises Country Life Butter… why?
What has former punk rebel Johnny Rotten got to do with Country Life butter, except an affinity perhaps with the first syllable? It seems quite an unlikely pairing, and I’m suprised he even got any work at all after this little controversy, which he denied veciferously, although Kele Okereke’s version was backed up completely by Gruff Rhys.
Have you seen that advert for Toyota that has a song called “Join With Us” by The Feeling? It goes “ring-ring, beep-beep aha”. First time I heard it, I thought that’s a cute little song. Now I’m so sick of it, I want to cut my ears off everytime I hear that awful, absurd lyric. What were they thinking? Did The Feeling write a song aimed at Teletubby fans or something? I pray I never have to hear that again.
There’s two reasons I love the MacBook Air advert. Firstly, the thing looks amazing and I can just stare at it. It’s just so slim and sexy looking. Secondly, there’s that really cool song which is called New Soul by Yael Naïm.
