What was up with Sir Alan on last night’s Apprentice?
Simon made a monumental cockup of everything he touched, and yet still get fired. He got credit for picking the wheelchair, but Naomi and Tre got no credit for actually selling it. The fact they sold any was put down to good product selection and not sales. The fact that no trampolines were sold was put down to poor product selection and not bad presentation by Simon. That seems like a mad conclusion to come to.
Sir Alan also attacked Naomi and Tre for being negative over the wheelchair, which he decided in the end was a good product selection. But when he first saw it on he shopping channel, he was as horrified as anyone. Naomi and Tre’s first reaction was no different from his first reaction.
The sham gameshow interview process will see three leaving next time… can’t wait!

So I caught the finale of American Idol on ITV2 last night.
Some thoughts came to mind:
- Blake really wasn’t very good. His beatboxing performance was near awful.
- When the top 6 guys performed, you’d have no clue Blake was the top guy. How did he make it to the last 2!!?
- Smokey Robinson has a very smooth, tight face. He won’t mind me pointing that out ‘cos he don’t care what we say about him.
- Cat Deeley is really dreadful and comes across as amazingly insincere
- Paul Abdul shouldn’t be a judge
- Jordin was great
Roll on next season…

Well, I didn’t mean for this to turn into a Buble fan site (although it’s not a bad idea), but wasn’t he great on the Paul O’Grady Show today. Fantastic live performance and then a very witty, entertaining interview on the couch.
The only person who didn’t seem to enjoy it was Ronnie Ancona on the couch next to him. She looked decidedly stoney during the interview but I suppose it’s galling for a supposed comic to be less funny than a singer.

Michael Buble is phenomenal. Incredible talent and a seemingly all round nice guy. Check this clip of his performance on ITV’s Parkinson, from May 5th. He performs “I’ve Got The World On A String” from his new album “Call Me Irresponsible”. Keep an eye on the guy that does the sax solo too, for his is also mighty cute!

Jonathan Ross - possibly the funniest guy on TV? - met his match on Friday night when he interviewed Janice Dickinson, known as a judge on America’s Top Model, and the self proclaimed first supermodel. Check out the clips from YouTube to see the best 15 minutes of TV this week.

I was watching Grease Is The Word tonight and I had this nagging feeling through the performance by Danny and Alison. And then I realised. Danny, you can’t be Danny. You just don’t cut it. But I think you’d made a very good Phantom in Phantom of the Opera!
Elsewhere on the show, Kavana continues to be very hot and Brian was wearing some black feather duster around his neck that would actually make a great draft excluder.

That Ben Mitchell’s a clever little kid.
Despite being the victim of a campaign of terror from Stella, and having had more Chinese burns than a human rights protestor, he still managed to get Ian Beale and Phil Mitchell to shake hands in Eastenders and seemingly end their feud. His clever conciliation service took the form of jumping between them and screaming STOP IT STOP IT.
I say drop the kid off in the Gaza strip and let him do his thing there. Their need is greater than ours.
